Psyllium husk helps reduce cholesterol. You have to
Be careful once it from your meds by a few hours - but it’s safe and effective, also helps digestion. Obviously check with your GI before taking.
Hi Mary. Yes, I take fenofibrate. My liver doctor at UCLA had me start it. I had a regular doctor put me on a statin and it drove my liver numbers up so I was taken off of them. My cholesterol numbers go up and down. Don't look at the whole number. See what your numbers are separate.
I agree Lynette. Thank you
After 1 month on fenofibrate, my triglycerides were reduced by almost 1/2 (they were 360 before fenofibrate) & helped lower alk phosphate #'s a bit. It also cleared up a 3 yr long rash I had on my forearm that drove me nuts that topical remedies didn't help one bit. I personally think that there's no such thing as a med or supplement that doesn't potentially affect the liver. There's pro & cons to everything!!
I am on ursodial and fenofibrate it it did the trick on lowering my liver levels. No side effect at all
