The itch seems to be somewhat worse these days. I do not know if it is from he pbc or if I am allergic to something in the food I am eating. I get somewhat like hives and if I continue to scratch they become almost welted? Just wondering what you all have for results of the itching and if you get bumps from it? I take claritin and that works, but do not want to take it all the time. Seems to be at night mostly, and frequently during the day? Any feed back would be appreciated Thanks and you… read more

Hi Ellen ! Sometimes whe my arms and legs itch I get bumps. I mostly have itching on my scalp and ears. The itching is worse at night and sometimes my whole body itches. I don't take any medication for the itching. I do take cooler showers, avoid scented products and use plant based products.

I only seem to have it on my forearm. I use zinc oxide cream(with menthol) & that seems to help when I have a flare up. It is basically diaper rash cream mixed with some vapo-rub...LOL--all joking aside though--vapo-rub has MANY wonderful uses; it's not just to rub on your chest for a cold!

I’ve been taking LDN nightly for years and haven’t had any itching. LDN is Low Dose Naltrexone. It’s controversial to most doctors but if you can talk them into it, get it! There are no side affects other then lucid dreams.

I dont have much of the itch. But when I do I stay away from anything perfume like, and eat less beef, sugar . I have gotten lotions to help . Weird one is shower and wash skin in head and shoulders. I helped a little. Hope you find relief

Thank you It seems if I stay busy that also helps. Night time is the worst. I use Aveeno and sometimes it helps other times no. Then I take Claitin
