I read today that OCALIVA is being voluntarily withdrawn from the market. I have been on it for over a year. Is there a substitute for Ocaliva? I have reached out to my gastroenterologist for a new med. Anyone else have any ideas? Thanks everyone!!!
Thank you, Jan! I received a call that they will refill my current prescription, so I have one more month. My doctor should be getting back to me in the next day or so.
Thanks everyone for input. My doctor said he will keep me on Ocaliva until it is no longer available. The he will prescribe Iqirvo. I have been on Ursodial since I was diagnosed 4 years ago. I also take Imuran. As for the Ocaliva, I have not had any side effects.
