I get my nails done every 2/3 weeks. I do the shellac, but I don't dye my hair. My doctor told me he is fine with me getting my nails done.
I think self care is important for everyone! I have routine hair appointments every 6 weeks and pedicures every 2 weeks. This definitely helps my mental health.
Hey Belva, I read on Google that getting hair and nails done doesn't cause PBC to progress,,!!!
I get my hair done every 6 weeks also, not excited about giving that up at this point. I have stopped nails and do my own toes :).
Like my Doc said your mental care is as important as your physical. But I will be asking him this question. He was concerned about my hair loss and he took me off Ursodiol and started me on a Livdelzi to see if that will make a difference. It has been one month. Not seeing a difference at this point. This is a fairly new medication. :) Always an adventure with PBC
