My hair has also thinned out to the point it’s like a newborn.
Is anyone else having issues like this?
Collagen hair skin and nails gummies, bone broth, get a baby brush with soft bristles brush your hair while you read or watch TV carry it with you. The stimulation and reappearance of hair (and it will reappear) will strengthen and improve blood supply. My nail and hair returned with gusto stronger shinier and prettier than ever. Hope this helps . Ps. Also faster I saw results in one month after 3 months the thickness of my hair was unprecedented as was my fingernail length and strength

Hi Jivelle
I haven’t seen a dermatologist as of yet.
There are no parasites or infections going on.
I have to use unscented products as I am allergic to scented products and the preservatives that are in most shampoos and soaps and have to change between ones that I can use as not to develop allergic reactions to them.
I am post menopausal and up until about 6 months ago I had no issues with hair thinning or itching. I just wanted to know if anyone else had itching other than the basic itching areas or if it’s possible that it might be the PBC and/or my immune system attacking another part of my body.
I am learning that this disease is not generalized but symptoms can/are specific to the individual.
I see my primary hopefully some time soon and I’ll be discussing the additional symptoms soon.
Thanks for the questions though as they do make me stop and think.
Have you seen a dermatologist? How long has it been going on and when did it start - if you recall? Did you find the root cause of the itching? Do you use harsh shampoos and hair products? Have you checked for fleas, lice, scabies, parasitic or fungal infections etc? Are you going through (peri)menopause or post-menopaused? Have you done allergy testing of your fabrics, detergents, clothes conditioners, air fresheners etc?
I'm sorry, I'm all questions here. Hope you resolve it soon.
Are you experiencing scalp itching, tenderness, and significant hair thinning with PBC?
Itching is a very common symptom of PBC, affecting about 73-81% of people with the condition. While itching typically occurs on the arms, legs, palms, and soles of the feet, it can happen anywhere on the body, including the scalp.
