Today I can't seem to get off the couch. I had my pancreas removed (total pancreatomy islet cell transplant -failed) 6 years ago due to idopathic pancreatitis which constantly hospitalized me. I was diagnosed last year with cholangitis and a week stay in the hospital. Some days I feel great but then days like this...... anybody else? I know the diabetes complicates everything but today is ridiculous! it's noon and I haven't showered, brushed my teeth or anything. Pain is there of course… read more

I have diabetes and PBC. I get days that the most I can do is go the bathroom. It generally feels as if a truck is sitting on me. If I try to lift my arms it hurts. I don’t know what helps. I try on days not suffering the fatigue to try to get a little walking in.

Good Day Stephanie,
I'm sorry to hear about your current state of fatigue. You definitely have a lot on your plate! Today might be a great day to listen to your body, Be Nice to Yourself, and (I'm guessing here... but Finally) Give Yourself a Needed Break! Maybe get some sunshine and fresh air. Hopefully you'll soon be feeling better. I wish you well!

Hi. I was always a seven jobs on the go at once kind of girl. Always outside doing something. I have a big garden, I have animals and bees and up until the last couple of years I’ve been fine but over the last few years I’m struggling. Some days I just want to go back to bed just after I’ve got dressed. I find the fatigue devastating as I’ve still got garden etc but some days I just want to say NO.
I try always to something no matter how small on the bad days and take advantage of the good days. That’s the way I get through but also you have to give yourself a break. It’s not your fault you feel like this and until you start to give yourself the time off you obviously need you’ll never cope with the failures you think you are having by not being able to do what you used to be able to do. This is why I always try to do something no matter how small to say I’ve had a win. Keep your chin up. Sending hugs xx

Good Morning Stephanie,
Are you feeling better and finding yourself with more energy today? I did not intend to sound insensitive and uncaring to your feelings yesterday. In actuality, I can readily identify and completely understand. I do wish you All the Best! You 'Got' this!
