There's so much talk about alcohol these days - and how we were all misled about the "health benefits" for heart, brain, blah blah blah. Who has completely and totally stopped drinking alcohol here? I've been abstinate for 2+ years. I feel very good and my liver thanked me. Anyone else feel the same?
Yes, I crave a Hot buttered rum on a cold day. A nice glass of wine would be relaxing after a busy day.
Wonderful! Yes, I used to miss it too for the first few months then suddenly, in retrospect, I realised I had forgotten all about it... the missing had vanished while I was busy with other life things :D

I have quit drinking for about 4 months. I will be very honest, it is not what I wanted to do, however it is the best thing I have done. I was drinking daily and did not realize just how much it was controlling my life. I certainly feel better and I am glad that I have done it. I do miss the daily drinks however do not miss the way it made me feel. I am certainly a better person for it and hopefully it will continue help with my numbers ALP. They are very high, but have gone down since I stopped the alcohol. Good luck to you all.
