Is it possible your sister may have PBC if she has similar symptoms?
Yes, it's definitely possible. Having a first-degree relative like a sister with PBC significantly increases the risk. If you have a parent or sibling with PBC, you're 100 times more likely to develop it than someone without that family history.

Well more dr’s need to know about PBC!! They have no clue! Gentics definetly play a big part how we got this!! We need more info out there, so dr will know what PBC is!!! Jody Allen
My aunt had this. Pretty sure my dad did. My youngest daughter has it and is on Urso. My oldest daughter probably has it just hasn’t gotten in to doctor. Not sure about my son. I think my older sister probably has it but she won’t get it checked. I don’t speak with my two younger sisters but wouldn’t be surprised if they had it. My dad lived to be 94, but last ten years weren’t the best.
I don’t know who I got this from! Did your mom live along time??
Hi Jody Yes it is possible. My mother had PBC and I was dx about 10 years later.
Has anyone had a successful transplant? And how long did the process of getting the transplant take?
