Wanting to I know if it is ok to take fenofibrate or Tricor to lower cholesterol. I can't tolerate statins.

Hi there, I take fenofibrate as well I originally was prescribed it for fatigue 🤷 I also take stain as well because my numbers are high all my other tests are good but the cholesterol is bad I also went on Zepbound and am doing red light therapy and exercise a little bit days it’s hard I do a vibration plate the red light and vibration plate help with depression and anxiety but I also have a underdeveloped thyroid

Have you seen a PBC specialist? I have cirrhosis stage 4 and portal hypertension, taking Urso three times a day and Xifazan twice daily.

I take Fenofibrate my hematologist prescribed it for a fatigue and my cholesterol numbers

Hi Mary, I have been taking Fenofibrate for quite awhile and it does help with the cholesterol levels. The levels do jump around, but for the most part it is very helpful. I also can't take statins because it raised my liver numbers and I put on 10 lbs that I can't seem to lose. Didn't want to go thru the trial and error of trying different statins to see if they worked. I'm at a good place right now.
