Can anyone with PBC take Livdelzi (seladelpar)?

Livdelzi is approved for adults with PBC who haven't responded well to ursodeoxycholic acid (UDCA) or who can't tolerate UDCA due to side effects. It can be taken alone or combined with UDCA.

Important considerations:

* Livdelzi needs to be taken four hours before or after bile acid sequestrants (cholesterol medications), as these can interfere with its absorption
* It carries warnings about potential risks including bone fractures, changes in liver test results, and biliary obstruction (blocked bile duct)
* Common side effects include headache, abdominal pain, nausea, bloating, and dizziness

Your healthcare provider will determine if Livdelzi is appropriate for your specific situation based on your treatment history, current medications, and overall health. Always discuss any new medication with your doctor to ensure it's safe and right for you.

Hi Mary, My doctor tried to get me on Livdelzi but insurance wouldn't approve mine. They did just approve me for Iqirvo but I had to jump through hoops to get it started. Just now in month 1.

Sorry never heard of it. Just prescribed Levdelzi and am going through the channels to get a reduction in cost. I cannot afford it as is

I looked it up too, it said it contains Berberine. I have bought Berberine supplements before but they didn't do anything for me.
