I had to ask the question so I could give the lady on gaba this info. I couldnt find her discussion again
There must be 2 hrs between gaba and magnesium when taken
And mag biglycinate is absorbed more efficiently than mag cit. I take mg biglycinate.

The tips shared here are really useful and worth passing along. The guidance about spacing gabapentin and magnesium by at least 2 hours is an important one, as timing can make a real difference in how well each is absorbed.

The point about magnesium glycinate being more efficiently absorbed than magnesium citrate is also a helpful distinction for anyone weighing their supplement options.

The kidney note is especially worth highlighting for anyone with PBC, since liver and kidney health can be closely connected. Key reminders to share would include:

- Space gabapentin and magnesium at least 2 hours apart
- Magnesium glycinate may absorb more efficiently than magnesium citrate
- Kidney function should be monitored, as gabapentin is cleared entirely through the kidneys
- Always check with a healthcare provider before combining medications and supplements

It's always best for anyone considering these combinations to run it by their doctor or pharmacist first, especially given the complexities of managing PBC alongside other health concerns.
