That's a great question, but GLP-1 medications like Mounjaro aren't directly related to managing PBC, so it's not something that can be helpfully addressed here in the context of your condition.

What is worth knowing is that weight changes with PBC can happen for a few reasons. Fatigue can lead to less activity and increased comfort eating, while nutrient absorption issues can sometimes cause unintended weight loss.

A myPBCteam member shared: "I had really increased my weight because I ate chocolate bars and drank copious amounts of coffee to fuel me up to get through my days."

If weight or appetite is a concern, it's worth speaking with your doctor or a registered dietitian who understands PBC. They can:

- Check for nutrient deficiencies that may affect energy and appetite
- Review how your medications might be influencing digestion or weight
- Recommend a PBC-friendly diet, such as a Mediterranean-style eating plan

Making major dietary changes without guidance isn't recommended, as some changes can affect your liver.
