Hi, Carla
I had my gallbladder out prior to PBC diagnosis. I’m taking Ursodiol my numbers have dropped, but I have occasional spikes of liver enzymes. Still have stomach issues at times. Plus, fatigue and itchy skin. I do my best to eat right, exercise when I can, and stay positive. I do work full time hours which can be hard at times. 😊

Hi Carla, I had mine removed prior to DX as they thought that is what was causing my URQ pain. When I still had the pain, after some more blood work and liver biopsy, that's when I got diagnosed with PBC. I don't really notice a difference without it. Taking the Urso has gotten rid of the pain and brought my numbers down.

Call and talk to the Doctor that did the surgery. Ask them, they should have given you discharge papers as to what to do after. What to watch for what to do.
