What I'm reading about statins isn't good...
My cholesterol is in the high zone....
My doctor prescribed me 3 different statins and I couldn't take any of them...they made my body hurt worse than it already does...
So im still on the fence...ive read that statin is bad for your liver...so why would the doctors be so insistent about taking these meds?
Im not being any help to you as I'm dealing with the same delema as you.

Thank you l find that interesting. My consultant and GP are really strong on my needing to take a statin. I’m not very happy about it.

I took Fenofibrate for liver but it raised liver enzymes and kidney clearance blood work worsened. Stopped it and everything returned to previous levels. I’ve never taken Statins, doc says absolutely no.

I too have had trouble taking statins. My alkaline phosphates and itching would not go down as long as I'd been takeing them. I'm still looking for an effective medicine for cholesterol.
