I’ve recently found out that I have low ferritin and my lover Dr ordered an extended release iron pill once a day. However, I had my blood labs drawn from all my doctors and my thyroid Dr called and wanted to see me in her office. Turns out, based on my increased tsh n other thyroid labs, she noticed I was started on the extended release iron and my subsequent change in thyroid levels so she suggested I take my thyroid and pain pill as soon as I wake up like I always do n then I fall asleep
For another hour n wake to take my SECOND batch of daily meds. An hour later I can eat and then I take the last of my “take with food” meds.
So, I think you point out an important point here in that whenever your meds are changed it’s not a bad idea to let ALL your drs know so they can do their jobs on your follow up like my thyroid dr did.
Hope everyone out there is feeling their “good” today. Sending love to all.

While protein shakes and powders can be part of a balanced diet, it's important to discuss any supplements with your healthcare team before starting them. Some supplements can interact with PBC medications or put additional strain on your liver.
When choosing protein supplements, look for options that are lower in Show Full Answer
That is weird... My doctor put me on D3 to help absorb calcium
Most of us proteins ,like peanut butter, chia seeds, yogert, on hand I know do. All good sources of protein. If I do use one it's vital protein, collagen powder, it helps with joint pain.
Awesome!!!!!
