My numbers on 10-8 were alp 154, ast 46, alt 101. I was on Iqirvo at time and while alp went down five other numbers jumped up. I’m about ready to stop all of this.

It's completely natural to wonder how your numbers compare! While specific ranges vary from person to person, here's what's generally seen in PBC:
Alkaline Phosphatase (ALP):
- Normal range is typically 44-147 international units per liter
- PBC is diagnosed when ALP is at least 1.5 times higher than normal (so around 220+ IU/L)
- Some people have ALP levels much higher than this, while others may be closer to the diagnostic threshold
- Lower ALP levels after treatment are usually linked to better long-term outcomes
AST and ALT:
These liver enzymes check for inflammation or damage and are measured alongside ALP. The levels vary widely among people with PBC depending on disease stage and treatment response.
What affects these numbers:
- Stage of disease progression
- How well you're responding to treatment
- Presence of inflammation or scarring
- Other health factors
Your doctor uses these numbers along with other tests like bilirubin, albumin, and platelet count to get the complete picture of your liver health. If you're concerned about your specific numbers, discussing them with your hepatologist or gastroenterologist can help put them in context with your overall health.

Never started it. I’m very scared of side effects. I’m not a good patient I question everything. I also do a lot of research. Probably to my detriment
