Are you experiencing stomach pain or spasms after taking Iqirvo?

Digestive issues like stomach pain and cramping are common concerns for people with PBC, and they can happen for several reasons. While the search results don't specifically mention stomach spasms as a side effect of Iqirvo, digestive problems are frequently reported with PBC medications in general.

Many myPBCteam members report stomach issues with their PBC treatments. One member described experiencing "gas pains, heartburn, bloating" after starting medication, while another mentioned "stomach cramps shortly after eating and taking" their PBC medication.

Here are some things that might help:

- Take your medication with food to help reduce stomach irritation
- Keep track of when the spasms occur and what you've eaten
- Note if certain foods seem to make it worse
- Stay hydrated throughout the day

It's really important to talk with your doctor about these symptoms. They can help determine if the spasms are related to Iqirvo, another aspect of PBC, or something else entirely. Your healthcare team may be able to adjust your dosage, suggest timing changes, or recommend ways to manage the discomfort.

Don't hesitate to reach out to your medical team - stomach pain shouldn't be something you just have to live with.

Gerd is an irritation of the esophagus in a way Too much acidity can create that condition Always take your medication with food Even so I too get reflux and Gaviscon works miracles Water plus Tums is also quite helpful Don’t suffer it as there are solutions
Yesterday my hematologist told me that Urso really is the best medication for PBC
I take mine at night even although he says it does not cause tiredness The disease sure does in my case but I just take short naps when I feel tired Don’t try to fight it as won’t win that battle
Keep well

I started and stopped because of strange fluttering heart, but think it was just anxiety. Started again almost 2 weeks ago, had stomach pains, but they have subsided. I go for bloodwork tomorrow to see if it has helped. Keeping my fingers crossed. Hope things improve for you
