Omegas have been studied for a long time and have shown effectiveness in supporting the immune system. There are ideal ratios of the Omegas as in its optimal to have and Omega 3/omega 6 ratio of 1:4. @A myPBCteam Member yes not a well controlled market for sure and definitely not studied as much as big corporation drugs which is unfortunate since some supplements are just boosting levels that already exist inside our bodies. But science is also science as well... one good study can never cover every potential question... so I see them as a tool, not necessarily an end decision. We continue to learn overtime. :)

You can, however, find third party tested supplements if you are looking in the right places. Some companies do actually invest in their product and then also want to show people that what they are selling is actually what they are saying it to be.

In the US, places like Fullscript, also do third party testing on random products in their inventory to make sure they are carrying reputable products. They also allow providers to connect with patients through their website where they provide discounts to their patients (unlike Amazon, which I would avoid like the plague because there is no quality control there).
