I’m wanting to find an easy way to track different issues, whether it’s food or symptom related that I can use to discuss with my doctor.
I prefer something on my phone since I have that with me all the time.
I’m thinking a calendar that could easily be glanced through, such as a week at a time, might be a good tool to have.

pbc-foundation-self-management in the App Store is what I currently use..
Food is about the only thing that aren’t individually able to be recorded. However there is a separate notes/physicians section. It also has the PBC 10 questions.
The only drawback is the news has not been kept up with so all of it pretty much stopped in 2023.

Tracking symptoms and food triggers is such a smart move for managing PBC — your doctor will love you for it! Having that information ready makes appointments so much more productive.

There are a few approaches that work well for people with PBC:

- Dedicated PBC apps — some PBC-focused apps let you log labs, symptoms, and notes all in one place
- General health tracking apps — apps like Apple Health, MySymptoms, or Bearable let you log symptoms, food, and patterns with easy weekly views
- Phone calendar — your idea of using a calendar app is totally valid! A quick daily note in Google Calendar or iPhone Calendar can be glanced at weekly
- Notes app — a simple running note organized by date works surprisingly well for jotting things down quickly

The key is picking something you'll actually use consistently. Since you always have your phone, any of these could work well. Whatever tool you choose, try to log things like:

- Symptoms (fatigue, itching, brain fog, etc.)
- Food and drinks consumed
- How you felt after eating
- Lab results when you get them

Bringing this kind of organized information to your appointments helps your doctor see patterns and tailor your PBC care more effectively. It also helps you advocate for yourself when discussing what's bothering you most.

I write my questions in my calendar for the date I have the appointment on my phone. Then I can’t forget them. My last visit I wrote them in a notebook and brought it to my appt so I could write down the responses etc and have for future reference.
