I have always been mindful of my health, especially since I am adopted and have no medical information. After my diagnosis, my anxiety went though the roof. Google is not our friend!! Now that I’m on Zoloft, I have calmed down quite a bit, but was just wondering if other people with PBC felt similar to me.
I have noticed since joining mypbsteam that everything I have seems to be linked to PBC. Many things I have had for a very long time. Everyone in my family growing up had diabetes (both sides) plus thyroid problems, gall bladder problems etc.. My dad’s side my aunt dird of liver cancer. In her 40s. His side had the viking bloodline where this is supposed to be so strong.
Health anxiety after a PBC diagnosis is completely normal. Many myPBCteam members experience increased anxiety and stress after receiving their diagnosis. The journey to managing PBC involves not just physical symptoms but also emotional challenges that can impact your mental wellbeing.
