I also was on low dose 5 mg Ocaliva along with Ursodial 900mg. Without any side effects. When Ocaliva was taken away. I just wanted to see how I felt with only the Urso. My enzymes stayed normal except the usual slightly elevated ALKPHOS. off Urso for nearly 4 months my ultrasound was unchanged and my ALP only bumped 16 points. My Hepatologist says best outcomes are when ALP is < 1.67% of the high end of normal. For my lab that is way less than my results. So I’m pleased that right now I’m just checking labs every 3 months. I see my Hepatologist every 6 months and my PCP every six months. I alternate visits so that’s why my labs are checked every 3 months. I feel I can keep a handle on that better. I’m 71 next week and I’m able to volunteer 5days a week. Keeping me active, fulfilled and purposeful. I am so Blessed living with this disease for 34 years, and I’m still ok.

I am starting this new medicine seladelpar soon, yay, I cannot wait. Finally some new meds specific for PBC. The clinical trials showed success in reducing itch and liver fibrosis. Time will tell, and the sooner I start the better apparently. :)

I was on it but specialist pulled me off. I’m at stage four-cirrhosis and they said it was’t good for that stage.

I am actually doing really well on it. Numbers are down with slight side effects. My out look is get to know what your body can tolerate for foods etc and go with it. We all react differently.
