Hi, I was referred to a gynocologist and she said I didn't need to fibroids removed as they're only 2 to 2.7 CM. She did find out from urine test sent for a culture, that showed I had UTI so I took antibiotic 5 days.
So glad r now, I'm scheduled for a 6 month repeated ultrasound.
Hope this helps..

Have you experienced fibroids or needed a hysterectomy while managing PBC at age 60?
The search results don't include specific experiences from myPBCteam members about having fibroids removed or undergoing hysterectomy while living with PBC. However, this is an important question to discuss with your healthcare team, especially after your recent ER visit with severe stomach pain.
When you have PBC, any surgical procedure requires careful coordination between your doctors. Your gastroenterologist or hepatologist should be involved in planning any surgery to ensure your liver function is stable enough for the procedure and anesthesia.
It's worth noting that stomach pain in PBC can have various causes, including:
- Advanced PBC affecting fat absorption
- Other digestive issues
- Complications from fibroids or other gynecological conditions
Since you recently went to the ER, make sure to follow up with both your PBC specialist and gynecologist. They can work together to determine the best approach for managing both conditions safely.
You might find it helpful to connect with other members on myPBCteam who may have navigated similar situations. Sharing experiences about managing PBC alongside other health concerns can provide valuable insights and support.
