Hi I would just like to ask if there is anybody that is taking Elafibranor (Iqirvo) for their pbc. I have just been advised to take

I just started my third month on Iqirvo. My numbers have gone down and I haven't noticed any side effects. Still have some symptoms (nausea, itching, fatigue) but overall am doing better.

I have been on Iqirvo since March 11. Last two bloodtests had my ALP in the normal range for the first time in over 6 years. 3 months ago it was 94, last week it was 83. The only problem is the cost is so high. Right now I'm not having to pay, but I retire at the end of the year and lose my health insurance, not sure how it will be handled going forward.

Here's what is known about how people have done on it in clinical trials:

- Most people tolerated it well without serious side effects
- It helped lower alkaline phosphatase (ALP) levels, a key marker of liver health
- The most commonly reported side effects were mild to moderate digestive issues like nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and abdominal pain
- Some people experienced weight changes

It works by targeting inflammation pathways in the liver and reducing the toxic effects of bile acids, which is why it pairs well alongside ursodiol. Your liver nurse and doctor will monitor your liver enzyme levels regularly to check that it's working well for you. Always let them know if you notice any side effects, even mild ones.

I started Irqirvo in January and it brought my ALP into normal range for the first time in 5 years. I have gained a couple pounds, not severe weight gain. No other side effects. It works!
